An additive procedure that leaves your cornea untouched.
Unlike LASIK, EVO ICL doesn't reshape the cornea. Instead, we place a soft, biocompatible Collamer lens behind your iris and in front of your natural lens, adding refractive correction without altering the eye's anatomy.
The lens is inserted through a tiny ~3mm micro-incision, no stitches required. EVO ICL is the right answer for high prescriptions, thin corneas, dry-eye sensitivity, and patients ruled out for laser correction. It's permanent but reversible: if your eyes change down the road, the lens can be removed or replaced.

How EVO ICL works.
- 01Step 01
Measure your eye and size the lens
AI-powered sizingEVO ICL begins with precise measurements of your eye - including the depth of the anterior chamber and the internal dimensions where the lens will sit. AI-powered sizing (around 99% accuracy) determines the exact Collamer lens custom-ordered for your eye and prescription.
- 02Step 02
Create a micro-incision
~3mm, no stitchesOn surgery day, numbing drops keep you completely comfortable. Your surgeon makes a tiny incision - roughly 3mm - at the edge of the cornea. No flap is created and the cornea is never reshaped, so the eye's natural anatomy stays intact.
- 03Step 03
Implant the Collamer lens
Behind the irisThe soft, biocompatible lens is folded and gently inserted through the micro-incision, then positioned behind the iris and in front of your natural lens. It unfolds into place, adding refractive correction without removing or altering any tissue.
- 04Step 04
Settle in - and it's reversible
1-day recoveryThe micro-incision self-seals without stitches. Once positioned, the lens is invisible and undetectable - it sits in fluid that carries no sensation. Most patients see clearly within hours. And unlike LASIK, the lens can be removed or replaced if your vision changes down the road.
The reasons that actually matter.

No cornea reshaping
Your cornea stays anatomically untouched, critical for thin corneas and dry-eye sensitivity.

Reversible
If your eyes change significantly, the ICL can be removed or replaced, flexibility LASIK doesn't offer.

Fast visual recovery
Most patients see clearly within hours of surgery and return to work the next day.

High-definition optics
Many patients report sharper night vision and contrast than they had with glasses or contacts.

Why we don't discount EVO ICL
There's no 'discount ICL.' The lens, the surgery, and your year of follow-ups are one number - quoted up front, no surgery-day add-ons. 0% APR financing covers it if you'd rather spread it out.
What patients say
The questions we hear most.
Don't see your question? Call us at 214-972-2020 or book a free consultation.
Can I feel the ICL once it's in?
No. The ICL sits behind the iris in fluid that doesn't carry sensation. Once the eye heals, you have no awareness of the lens at all.Is the ICL permanent?
It's designed to last indefinitely - but unlike LASIK, it can be removed or replaced if your eyes change significantly. Reversibility is one of the procedure's defining advantages. How does EVO ICL compare to LASIK?
LASIK reshapes the cornea; ICL adds a lens. For prescriptions in the LASIK range, both are excellent. For high prescriptions, thin corneas, or dry-eye sensitivity, ICL is often the safer and more effective option. We'll tell you which fits your eyes. Will I still need glasses after ICL?
Most ICL patients dramatically reduce or eliminate glasses dependence for distance. Reading glasses may still be needed in your 40s and beyond as presbyopia develops - at which point CLR becomes the option. How much does EVO ICL cost?
Our Affordability page walks through every payment option in detail - most patients combine financing with FSA/HSA dollars.

Reaching for your glasses on the nightstand. Fighting contacts at the gym. Watching the menu blur at dinner. These aren't problems to live with anymore, and the only place to find out what's actually possible for your eyes is in the chair.
