Premium Cataract Surgery. Modern, image-guided premium lens surgery.
A cataract is the eye's natural lens becoming cloudy. Modern premium cataract surgery removes that lens and replaces it with an advanced intraocular lens - restoring clarity and, for many patients, eliminating glasses for distance, intermediate, and near.

One of the most refined procedures in modern medicine.
Cataract surgery has been practiced for millennia, but the modern version barely resembles the procedure even from 20 years ago. We use detailed measurements and image-guided positioning to align premium IOLs with your eye's axis, plus an extensive menu of lens technologies that can correct distance, intermediate, near, and astigmatism in one procedure.
For many patients, premium cataract surgery is the moment they finally achieve glasses-independence, sometimes after a lifetime of needing them.

How Premium Cataract Surgery works.
- 01Step 01
Measure your eye and plan the lens
Image-guidedDetailed biometry and corneal mapping capture your eye's exact dimensions and the axis of any astigmatism. From this we plan which premium intraocular lens (IOL) - multifocal, extended-depth, or toric - best matches your vision goals, and exactly where it needs to sit.
- 02Step 02
Create a micro-incision
No stitchesOn surgery day, numbing drops keep you fully comfortable - you're awake but relaxed. Your surgeon makes a tiny self-sealing incision at the edge of the cornea to reach the clouded natural lens. No stitches are required.
- 03Step 03
Remove the cloudy lens
UltrasoundUsing gentle ultrasound energy (phacoemulsification), the cloudy cataract is broken up and removed through the micro-incision, while the thin capsule that holds the lens is preserved to cradle the new one. This is the step that restores clarity to your vision.
- 04Step 04
Implant and align your premium IOL
PermanentThe chosen IOL is folded, inserted through the same tiny incision, and unfolds into place. Image-guided positioning aligns it precisely to your eye's axis - critical for correcting astigmatism. The result is permanent: the new lens never clouds, and many patients achieve glasses-independence for the first time in decades.
The reasons that actually matter.

Image-guided precision
Real-time alignment ensures premium IOLs sit at exactly the right axis, critical for astigmatism correction.

Premium IOL menu
Multifocal, extended-depth, and toric lens options tuned to your distance, intermediate, near, and astigmatism needs.

Insurance-covered baseline
Standard cataract surgery is covered by Medicare and most plans. Premium upgrades are clearly explained up front.

Permanent clarity
Once the cataract is removed and the IOL placed, the result is permanent. The lens never clouds again.

Who this is- and isn't - for.
We don't push the envelope of safety to make you fit a procedure. If you aren't a great candidate, we'll tell you - and recommend the option that is.
You may be a great fit if any of these sound familiar.
- Cataracts affecting daily life
- Cataracts diagnosed at exam
- Want glasses-free vision
- Healthy retinas
- Generally ages 60+
We may recommend something else if…
- Significant retinal disease
- Active infection / untreated dry eye
- Mild cataracts not yet affecting life
- Can't follow post-op drops
None of these are deal-breakers, they're reasons to look at the alternatives. We'll tell you straight at consultation.

What patients say
The questions we hear most.
Don't see your question? Call us at 214-972-2020 or book a free consultation.
Will I be glasses-free after cataract surgery?
It depends on which IOL fits your eyes. Premium multifocal and extended-depth lenses give the best chance of being completely glasses-free; standard monofocal lenses give crisp distance with reading glasses for near. We'll explain the tradeoffs at your consultation. Is cataract surgery covered by insurance?
Standard cataract surgery is covered by Medicare and most insurance plans as medically necessary. Premium IOL upgrades are typically out-of-pocket. We verify benefits and explain costs in writing. How long between surgeries on each eye?
Typically 1-2 weeks. We let the first eye heal and confirm the visual outcome before scheduling the second. Some patients prefer a longer interval; we adapt to your schedule. Can both eyes be done the same day?
Sequential same-day cataract surgery is offered in some practices, but we generally prefer separating the procedures for safety and outcome accuracy. We'll discuss your preferences at consultation. What if I have astigmatism?
Toric IOLs correct astigmatism in the same surgery. Combined with image-guided alignment, the results are excellent. We can also add a small LRI (limbal relaxing incision) for lower amounts of astigmatism. How do I know if my cataract is ready for surgery?
When it starts affecting daily activities - night driving, reading, or low-light vision. We'll show you the lens at your evaluation and explain how much the cataract is contributing.

Not the right fit? Here's what else we offer.
Picking the right procedure is a diagnosis question, not a marketing one. If your eyes are better served by a different path, we'll tell you.

Reaching for your glasses on the nightstand. Fighting contacts at the gym. Watching the menu blur at dinner. These aren't problems to live with anymore, and the only place to find out what's actually possible for your eyes is in the chair.
