A closer look at life without glasses.
Watch how vision correction at Visionary Eye works, from the first consultation to the moment patients open their eyes to a sharper world.
Most clinics optimize for volume. We're optimized for you.
Most LASIK is run like an assembly line. The same scan, the same script, the same procedure, performed by whoever's on the schedule that day. We built the opposite. Advanced diagnostics and a plan shaped around your eyes alone, led start to finish by one double board-certified surgeon. The goal is never throughput. It's handing you back the freedom to see your world on your terms. That's where we and most clinics part ways:
One surgeon. Every case.
The surgeon you meet is the one at the laser. No handoffs.
Our technology, in our rooms.
NASA-trusted refractive tech, in-house. No referrals out.
A plan built around your eyes.
We map your eyes, then recommend the one procedure that fits.
A guarantee you can read.
Protection and enhancement terms explained up front. No fine print.
Choosing the right surgeon is one half of the decision. The other half is everything you plan around your eyes.
Glasses and contacts cost you more than money. They cost you mornings, moments, and a little freedom every day.
Fogged-up lenses on a cold morning. Contacts drying out by hour ten. The drawer of half-used solutions. None of it is dramatic on its own, but year after year it quietly shapes how you live. See what a life built around your eyes really adds up to.
Glasses and contacts can cost
$21,432
in ongoing visual-aid costs through age 40
Drag the slider to project the bill, frames, lenses, contacts, solutions, replacements. Your free visit includes a written procedure estimate so you can put the two numbers side by side.
Eleven procedures. One plan that's yours.
Most refractive clinics push you toward the procedure they perform most. We start with your prescription, your corneas, your lifestyle, and recommend the one that's right for the eyes in front of us. Sometimes that's the obvious choice. Sometimes it isn't.
Four steps, one team, no surprises.
From the hour you walk in for diagnostics to the year-five check-in, the same building and the same people are with you. Here's what each step actually feels like.
Consultation and eye examination
A 90-minute exam with corneal mapping, dry-eye testing, and full diagnostics. We ask the questions, you ask the questions, and nobody is selling you anything. The point of this hour is to find out what's actually true about your eyes.
Treatment plan
Dr. Shehz walks you through the options across all eleven procedures, with plain-English pricing, flexible financing, and a candid recommendation. If you aren't a great candidate, we'll tell you that, too.

Most laser procedures take minutes. You're awake, the room is calm, and the surgeon you've already met is the one at the controls. You go home the same day with simple, written recovery instructions.

We watch the healing, adjust drops or instructions when needed, and stay reachable through follow-up visits. Recovery is supposed to feel clear, supported, and predictable, and at Visionary Eye, it does.
Schedule an AppointmentThe work speaks. So do our patients.
The mornings that change something small but permanent. Reading the clock across the room. Catching your reflection on the way to the shower. A patient's first week is its own kind of review, and we read every one of them.

A letter from the founderAn open letter to my patients
I grew up not feeling seen.
Different name. Always a little outside the room. For a long time I thought the work of a life was to get noticed, to be impressive enough that someone would finally turn and look.
So I went looking for that in the biggest rooms I could find. Research labs. NASA. The hardest training programs. I collected the things that were supposed to make me feel like I’d arrived.
None of it filled the gap.
Then I became an eye surgeon, and the work became something simple: helping people see.
I’ve done that in operating rooms with every machine money can buy. And I’ve done it in places the world had stopped looking at, where there was no schedule, no marketing, nothing to sell. Just a person who had been living in the dark, and a narrow window to change that.
I remember restoring sight to someone who hadn’t seen a face clearly in years. When the patch came off, I understood something my training had never taught me: vision was never really about reading a menu or passing an eye chart. It was about being present in your own life. Connected to the people right in front of you. Not cut off from your own world.
That changed how I see the person in my chair in Plano, too. Because the patient who “just” wants to stop fighting with contacts is asking for the same thing, underneath, that the patient in the dark was asking for. To be fully here. To not miss their own life through a smudged lens.
And somewhere in all of it, something turned over in me. Helping you see clearly was teaching me to see myself clearly. The purpose I’d been chasing in those big rooms wasn’t out there waiting to be earned.
It was sitting in the chair across from me the whole time.
It’s you.
So let me tell you how I work, plainly. You are not a procedure to me. You are not a sale, a slot on a schedule, or a number on a board. Before I say one word about LASIK or lenses or anything else, I want to understand your eyes, your life, and what clear vision would actually give back to you.
And if the honest answer is not yet, or not this one, I will tell you. Every time. Even when it costs me the case. Especially then.
Because here’s what I finally understand, after all the looking: you deserve to be seen clearly.
And you deserve to see clearly, too.
See what better vision looks like. At any stage of life.
Reaching for your glasses on the nightstand. Fighting contacts at the gym. Watching the menu blur at dinner. These aren't problems to live with anymore, and the only place to find out what's actually possible for your eyes is in the chair.
