Our procedures

Five procedures, one specialized team.

Whether you have a structural cornea condition or years of chronic dry eye that won't respond to drops, there's a specific path for each.

Stop keratoconus from progressing

Corneal Cross-Linking

FDA-approved riboflavin and UV light treatment that permanently stiffens and stabilizes a weakening cornea. The only proven way to halt keratoconus progression.

Best for: Keratoconus, post-LASIK ectasia, progressive corneal thinning

Reshape without a transplant

Corneal Tissue Addition (CTAK)

A custom-shaped donor-tissue inlay placed inside the cornea to push the keratoconus cone back toward its natural shape — less invasive than a full corneal transplant.

Best for: Keratoconus patients intolerant of contacts, seeking a transplant alternative

Remove corneal growths for good

Pterygium Surgery

Outpatient removal of pterygium (surfer's eye) using conjunctival autograft — restores clear vision and dramatically reduces the chance of recurrence versus older techniques.

Best for: Visible eye growths, recurring irritation, astigmatism caused by pterygium

A complete plan, not just drops

Dry Eye Treatment

Chronic dry eye is usually a meibomian gland problem, not just insufficient tears. We diagnose the cause and build a tailored plan — lid care, drops, medications, IPL, or a combination.

Best for: Chronic dryness, poor tear quality, meibomian gland dysfunction

Treat the root cause, not the symptom

IPL Eye Treatment

Intense Pulsed Light targets the inflammation and blocked glands behind most chronic dry eye — in-office, non-invasive, and more lasting than drops alone.

Best for: Chronic dry eye, rosacea-related blepharitis, drop-resistant dryness

FAQ

Common questions.

Don't see yours? Call 214-972-2020 or book a free consult.

  • Can keratoconus be cured?
Not fully reversed, but progression can be stopped. Corneal cross-linking halts the disease — and for patients with significant cone shape, CTAK can partially reshape the cornea without a transplant.
  • How do I know if I have dry eye disease vs. occasional dryness?
Occasional dryness from screens or wind usually resolves with breaks or drops. Dry eye disease persists, worsens throughout the day, and doesn't fully respond to over-the-counter drops. Meibomian gland imaging tells us which you have.
  • Does IPL treatment hurt?
No. Most patients feel a mild warmth or a rubber-band snap sensation. Each session takes about 15 minutes and requires no downtime.
  • How many IPL sessions are needed?
Most patients do 3–4 sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart for the initial course, then maintenance sessions as needed. Many experience noticeable improvement after the first or second session.
  • Will a pterygium grow back after surgery?
Recurrence is possible but much less likely with the conjunctival autograft technique we use. The graft tissue fills the area where the pterygium was, leaving little room for regrowth.

Other options

Also looking to correct vision? We handle that too.

Many cornea patients are also candidates for vision correction once their cornea is stable. We'll evaluate both at your consultation.
